About Us

The Lighthouse School of Leadership officially opened its doors in September 2022, despite the unique challenges of building a school in the middle of a global pandemic.

Although still at the very beginning of its existence, the Lighthouse School is already considered the premiere educational institution in the area of Dalipuga, Iligan City, Philippines. Located right next to the ocean–surrounded by grassy fields and coconut trees–the tranquility of the school grounds is immediately evident to all upon arrival.

Coupled with a robust, rigorous, and fun academic curriculum (using the tried-and-proven Montessori and Reggio Emelia pedagogies), students’ minds are constantly being stimulated.

The delightful natural setting, the staff’s commitment to excellence, and their dedication to engaging every child’s heart and imagination have truly made this a sought-after private school with a waiting list longer than other more expensive and more established institutions.

Many of our students come from under-resourced families in Dalipuga, Iligan City, Philippines. You can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

For just $40 a month, you can sponsor a child and become an essential part of their journey. As a sponsor, you will receive regular updates, including monthly reports, current photos and videos from your child’s teacher, and quarterly updates from our directors, Albert and Pia Hugo.
